Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are not permitted on MailFlow. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
1. You may not
- Send unsolicited bulk email to addresses that did not opt in or have a legitimate business reason to receive your message.
- Upload or use purchased, scraped or otherwise unverified email lists.
- Impersonate any person, organization or affiliation.
- Send messages with deceptive subject lines, false from-addresses or hidden tracking that violates consent.
- Promote illegal activity, regulated goods (firearms, controlled substances, adult services) or content that infringes third-party rights.
- Send phishing, malware or scam messages of any kind.
- Continue mailing recipients who have unsubscribed.
- Use the Service to send transactional messages on behalf of unrelated third parties.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass the Service's security or rate limits.
2. You must
- Identify yourself accurately in every message you send.
- Honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
- Include a working unsubscribe link and a physical mailing address (CAN-SPAM § 7704(a)(5)).
- Respect data subject requests (access, deletion, portability) under GDPR / CCPA / KVKK / LGPD where applicable.
- Maintain an opt-in record for any recipient where consent is required by law (CASL, GDPR).
3. Sending limits and behavior
We enforce per-account daily limits, ramp-up curves and bounce thresholds. We reserve the right to throttle, pause or disconnect any sending account exhibiting abusive patterns (high bounce rate, abnormal complaint rate, abuse reports from receivers) regardless of plan tier.
4. Reporting abuse
If you receive an abusive message that you believe was sent through MailFlow, email abuse@mailflow.dev with the full message including all headers. We investigate every report within 24 hours.
5. Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time and without notice for material violations of this AUP. Pre-paid fees are non-refundable in the event of termination for cause.
